Operations Manager
Richard Bensh is a veteran project manager with well over 20 years of experience responding to disasters as far back as Hurricane Opal in 1995. Mr. Bensh is currently serving as one of AshBritt’s Project Managers. Since starting as an equipment operator with AshBritt in 1995, he has held key disaster response roles ranging from DMS Manager, Project Manager, and other key positions for disaster recovery operations. Part of his current roles and responsibilities include deploying to manage disaster recovery operations for clients all over the U.S. He conducts debris field surveys, facilitates and communicates progress reports, assists clients with media briefings, and manages all aspects of disaster recovery operations. Furthermore, he is responsible for all activities of assigned operations personnel, subcontractors, and vendors in the execution of contracted scope of work. Mr. Bensh ensures contractual compliance in areas of quality control and safety. In addition to his extensive years of experience, Mr. Bensh has completed the OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER course, the USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certification, FEMA’s IS 100 course, and a multitude of other heavy equipment operating licenses/certifications.
