LtCol Monica Mellon is AshBritt’s Chief Administrative Officer. In this role Mellon manages daily operations and provides business and strategic planning support across the AshBritt family of companies: AshBritt, AshBritt Management & Logistics (ABML), and AshBritt Infrastructure, as well as supporting AshBritt’s veteran hiring initiative

Mellon recently completed her U.S. Marine Corps Reserve service obligation serving as the Deputy Director for Protocol, Headquarters United States Southern Command in Doral, Fla. She began her professional career as an elementary school teacher, where she taught kindergarten at Stanley Switlik Elementary School in Marathon, Fla.

Following in her father’s footsteps, Mellon joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was commissioned in December 1998.  She was the Honor Graduate of the Administrative / Manpower Officer School, Camp Johnson, North Carolina, and has served as the principal manpower and personnel staffing advisor to commanders at all echelons of command.

Serving more than 20 years in both the active and reserve components, her significant leadership roles include: Headquarters and Service Company Commander, 2nd Supply Battalion; Assistant Chief of Staff, G-1, 2d Force Service Support Group; Family Readiness Officer, II Marine Expeditionary Force; Liaison Officer, Ill and Injured Support Unit, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Deputy Director for Protocol, Office of the Commandant of the Marine Corps; and Assistant Chief of Staff, G-1, 2d Marine Expeditionary Brigade.  Monica’s operational deployments include two Global War on Terrorism deployments supporting Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, and Exercise African Lion, Morocco.
