Chief Executive Officer

Brittany Perkins Castillo is the Chief Executive Officer at AshBritt Environmental, the leader in U.S. disaster response and recovery services, and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Brittany oversees corporate direction and strategy, leads operations, and manages business partnerships. After being named CEO in 2016, Brittany led AshBritt’s operations in response to the Blue Cut and the Soberanes Fires in California and to Hurricane Mathew. AshBritt’s Hurricane Mathew operations included 25 jobs across 3 states and the collection of over 5.5 million cubic yards of storm-generated debris.

In 2017, AshBritt served 75 clients across 4 states in response to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and was activated as the prime contractor under the United States Army Corps of Engineers for the northern California wildfire response. Brittany oversaw $500,000,000 in recovery efforts and more than 3,300 personnel. In northern California, AshBritt moved up to 25,000 tons of material per day, provided environmental services, and removed debris from over 1,800 properties in Sonoma, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino Counties.

Prior to joining AshBritt, Brittany managed a law practice in Austin, Texas, held positions as a prosecutor in Texas and Florida, and was program manager for projects in Washington, DC and Doha, Qatar. Brittany holds a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Vanderbilt University. She is bilingual in English-Spanish and a member of the Texas Bar. Brittany is Chair of the AshBritt Foundation, serves on the Board of the 4Girls Foundation, and maintains an active pro bono legal practice working with refugees and survivors of domestic violence.
