AshBritt Environmental, Inc. proudly announces the addition of Michael Wyrick to our AshBritt team as well as the opening of our new regional office in Charlotte, NC, to better serve our clients in the Mid-Atlantic region. As Regional Manager/Government Relations, Michael will serve as a point of contact for all clients and potential clients within the coastal states of North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Connecticut from our new regional office in Charlotte, NC.
Michael has several years of experience in government relations at the local, state, federal and foreign levels. He worked in corporate government relations for America Online. Michael served as an aide to former U.S. Senator David Pryor and as Legislative Assistant to former congressional appropriator U.S. Rep. Jay Dickey, where he helped to secure appropriations funding for the US Army Corp of Engineers projects such as Montgomery Point Lock and Dam and Red River levy protection in the State of Arkansas. He later joined the Washington DC firm of U.S. Strategies Corporation as a Legislative Consultant.
Michael has lived in and/or traveled extensively throughout 35 countries in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa and the South Pacific. Michael began his international work at the age of 18 when he joined and later led an MIA search mission sponsored by the American Red Cross to recover the remains of World War II pilots lost on the islands of the South Pacific. Prior to joining AshBritt, Michael helped to establish a construction company in the Persian Gulf nation of Qatar, for which he directed business development efforts. Michael recived his BA in history from the University of Arkansas at Fayetville.
