Hazardous Tree Abatement

AshBritt's Involvement with Hazardous Tree Removal:
  • Conducted daily Hazardous Tree Removal Operations in San Bernardino County, CA specifically Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Running Springs and Arrowbear over the past 3 years in response to the Bark Beetle epidemic that was responsible for killing in excess of one million “Old Growth” Pine and Fir Trees along the Right of Way that was maintained by Southern CA Edison Electrical Utility. We worked under the Southern CA Edison Bark Beetle Tree Removal Reimbursement Program financing and providing Hazardous Tree Removal services for hundreds of SCE’s customers. Our efforts resulted in the removal of in excess of 100,000 infested trees on private property over the course of this period. AshBritt was also responsible for organizing and managing multiple subcontractors who partnered with us on this project.  The efforts of AshBritt and our subcontractors resulted in the removal of fire fuels from around hundreds of homes and was a factor in the lack of homes that were burned as a result of the “Old Fire” that occurred in 2003.

  • Performed Hazardous Tree Removal and Logging Operations for San Diego County under their Federally Funded tree removal program in and around the Julian, CA area. This removal project involved more than 50,000 dead trees of various sizes and difficulty levels. This project was in excess of $1.2 Million. Work was performed for the San Diego County Dept. of Public Works.

  • Many of the trees removed from San Diego County had been damaged during the 2003 Wildfires that occurred in Julian, CA. This work involved entering Private Property in order to complete and was a cooperative effort among Ashbritt, San Diego County and NRCS.

  • Conducted and managed daily Hazardous Tree Removal Operations for the United States Army Corps of Engineers Contract #W912P8-05-D-0025 in the State of Mississippi. This contract exceeded $650 Million and is in response to Hurricane Katrina’s destruction which occurred along the Gulf Coast and Central Areas in the State of Mississippi. We managed over 1200 subcontractors in response to this task.
