  • AshBritt gets "Cool" for the Enviornment, October 2009

Global warming is a serious problem that ,Cool Globes, an international non-profit organization, works to combat by spreading knowledge about simple solutions to reduce carbon footprints. Fifty super-sized cool globes, spanning 5-feet in diameter and reaching 7-feet in height, were brought to Houston in 2009 for a public art exhibit, Cool Globes: Hot Ideas for a Cooler Planet.. Each globe conveyed a different method on how individuals can join the fight against global warming. AshBritt Environmental is the proud sponsor of artist Mitch Levin's globe, titled .Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. Levin used more than 500 pounds of metal scrap, gathered by AshBritt workers, to embrace the earth in a cocoon of steel. Reduce. Reuse. Recycle, represented that one man's trash could truly be the world's treasure.
