The 15th Annual Dunn’s Run 5miler/5k was held on October 2nd, 2011 which benefits The Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. The Dunn’s Run has earned its reputation as the race that signifies the start of the running season attracting over 2,000 runners, walkers and participants. One of which was Congressmen Allen West who ran holding the American flag through the streets of Deerfield. This event is fun for everyone, regardless of ability, and it attracts the masses.
AshBritt, Inc sponsored the event and had some of their own run and walk in the race. Randi Milner and Tim Mooney put on Ashbritt yellow along with friends and family to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County. “Being a local business, we think it’s a great opportunity to support the community we live and work. AshBritt is proud to support such a strong organization.” said Tim Mooney, Regional Manager.

AshBritt, for many years, has donated to the LiveStrong Challenge by way of supporting an employee of the Virginia Peninsulas Public Service Authority (VPPSA), Dave Magnant & his team [T Town], as they rode 100 miles through the hills of Pennsylvania for the Foundation. This year, AshBritt rose to the challenge that is LiveStrong with not only a financial contribution, but they had one of their own, Randi Milner (Community Ambassador) ride with Dave’s Team. T Town alone raised over $5,000. The entire event boasted 5,100 riders, walkers and runners, 30,000 donors, and 600 volunteers. The weekend event raised $2.6 million toward the fight against cancer.
