Disaster Response & Recovery Specialist
AshBritt, Inc. (AshBritt) is a national leader in disaster response and recovery services in terms of experience, quality of service, technological and operational innovation and financial strength. AshBritt is exclusively a disaster recovery contractor. This is our sole business function and we bring the best recovery solutions to all of our clients as we are focused on preparation and response 365 days per year. We maintain the highest levels of safety, quality and integrity in conducting all of our services and operations.
Since our inception in 1992, we have conducted 209 disaster projects and 28 special environmental projects of various sizes, successfully serving more than 500 clients. We have been directly involved in the debris recovery efforts of 43 federally declared major events in 16 states, beginning with Hurricane Andrew in South Florida. These missions have included ice storms, tornadoes, floods, tropical storms, wildfires and major hurricanes. We are the leader in the disaster response and recovery industry.
Our extensive experience has created a wealth of knowledge and skill for our principals, managers, and field personnel. Our senior management and technical consultants have more than 200 years of combined disaster debris management experience, and are intimately acquainted in all facets of disaster response and recovery, including debris collection, management, reduction, recycling, mitigation and disposal.
We pride ourselves on our full-service, client-focused approach to disaster recovery, as we offer adept and balanced administrative and operational support, a factor often neglected or ignored in our industry. We fully appreciate the exigent nature, pressing schedules, and exacting demands of recovery efforts, as well as the need to involve local businesses in our recovery efforts. We have a history of utilizing Small and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises in our projects. In support of past events we have always met or exceeded small business requirements. While achieving our small business goals we have always maintained a disciplined subcontract management process. These values translate into superior solutions, cost savings, timely performance and tremendous value for our clients. We have proven through our capabilities and wherewithal to be a reliable and competent partner.
Our Technical Assistance Team will provide expert guidance to client representatives through the critical, yet often confusing and cumbersome, Public Assistance Program to ensure they receive maximum funding reimbursements.
Recently, AshBritt’s capability was highlighted by our activations in the Northeast US as we were contracted by 64 jurisdictions to assist with the debris removal and management operations after Super-Storm Sandy made landfall in October of 2012. AshBritt completed all client taskings including management, removal and disposal of approximately 3.5 million cubic yards of storm related debris; collection, screening and placement of 200,000 cubic yards of soil and sediment; recovery and storage of 5000 storm damaged vehicles and 116 storm damaged vessels; and 2900 barrels of household hazardous waste. In 2011, our services were utilized multiple times due to several extraordinary weather related events including the Halloween Snowstorm event that occurred in the States of Connecticut and Massachusetts. We assisted over 40 clients, handling, processing and disposing of almost 4 million cubic yards of vegetative debris. Likewise in 2011 we were activated and assisted multiple clients following Hurricane Irene and the Eastern U.S. tornado outbreaks. In 2010, we provided integral mitigation services to multiple Florida clients in response to the Gulf oil spill. We similarly mobilized significant equipment and manpower to Maryland and Virginia following the early 2010 Mid-Atlantic snowstorm. Our expertise has been highlighted by our unprecedented accomplishments as the Prime Contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ recovery mission for Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi. The Hurricane Katrina Mississippi recovery project was the largest and most varied debris mission by a single company in U.S. history. The invaluable experience gained from that project and from our many diverse past projects has helped us to expand and fortify our technical and production abilities, making us a forerunner in the industry.
Samples of our diverse accomplishments are illustrated below:
Our corporate, managerial, technological, and operational infrastructure allows us the flexibility and adaptability to grow quickly to meet the resource demands of potential large and varied events.
