ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — The area’s newest COVID-19 vaccination center is up and running as of Tuesday morning. Cases and hospitalizations are dropping, but vaccine demand is on the rise.

The most recent vaccination site is at the former Big Lots location in Seminole Square. There were more than 180 appointments made to get a shot at the site on Tuesday, not including the number of people who walked in.

People can find any of the vaccines that are available at the center, including third doses and Pfizer booster shots. The site is set up to make things easy.
