Three members of AshBritt Environmental joined cyclists who donated and collected over $1.7 million for first annual RISE Across Texas Challenge.  In an effort to fund a capital campaign to build a permanent facility for the RISE School of Austin, AshBritt Environmental biked alongside hundreds of cyclists, composed of local celebrities, community leaders, and national supporters during a portion of the two-week, 872 mile journey through the temperamental Texas terrain.

The non-profit, early-education school for children with and without special needs currently leases space from the First Evangelical Free Church in the southwest part of Austin, Texas.  Dedicated teachers arrive extra early to set up their classrooms every Monday, knowing that each Friday they must empty their classrooms for the church’s weekend activities.

As an organization that is an active supporter of Best Buddies, AshBritt felt the need to get involved. “Respecting our company’s mission of contributing support to our community, we knew it was the perfect way for AshBritt to provide help to the children and families of the RISE School of Austin,” said Rob Ray, Vice President of Marketing for AshBritt Environmental.  “We look forward to giving back to our community here in Texas by continuing to be a part of The RISE Across Texas Challenge in the future.”

By the end of the Challenge, the total amount raised was $1,716,268.00.  To learn more about The RISE Across Texas Challenge, please visit RISEAcrossTexas.org
